Fashion Production Department (4-year course)

This department trains and prepares students for a career in human resources, which have both specialist aspects (people who have specialized knowledge and skills with the latest technologies) and generalist aspects (people who have a wide range of knowledge and skills in a variety of fields). People with these qualities are highly in-demand now. Our aim is to have students learn it all, from creation to business, and we hope that they will become fashion industry leaders and oversee fashion creation in the next generation. We also offer "Advanced Diploma" qualifications, which is equivalent to a four-year college graduate degree.

Top Creator Department (3-year course)

This department aims to develop student's creation abilities, which help students to be competitive in the industry. In this course you will learn how to establish your own creativity, artistry and skills, and how to express those through fashion. Students will have a chance to stimulate their senses through activities such as participating in student brand exhibitions at the Paris Collection and visiting the Tokyo Collection. They study consistently for three years to acquire skills needed for work in various fields, including as an entrepreneur for their own original brands, working in costume production or for a collection company, or working as an artist.

Fashion Creator Department (3-year course)

This course aims to develop creators who are ahead of the times. In this course, students will pursue their favorite field throughly. They study fields from design to patterning and sewing, and acquire knowledge and techniques necessary to produce clothing and artistry. Not just traditional techniques are cultivated, we also incorporate cutting-edge information in the fashion industry, in order to develop the human resources that are needed in the industry.

Fashion Creator Masters
Course

This two-year elective course aims to foster up-to-date creators who can immediately work as leaders in top companies. Through communication with external professionals, students learn techniques, knowledge and business know-how in depth, and at a variety of places.

Gothic & Lolita Fashion
Course

The Gothic & Lolita Fashion course is only offered at our school in Japan. In this second year elective course, students can learn Gothic & Lolita fashion on a full scale level. With first class couture technology as a base, we help students acquire creation abilities to express their original ideas, and to acquire knowledge and techniques that enable business development.

Fashion Creator
Course

In the first year, students study basic and specialized knowledge and skills, and after their second year, they choose a specialized field and study to be a specialist in that field.

Design Major
This is a major for a student who wishes to be a designer at a famous apparel company. Students can select this major in the second semester of their second year.
Pattern Major
This is a major for a student who wishes to be involved in the production sector, including planning and patterning in the apparel industry. Students can select this major in the second semester of their second year.
Men’s Wear Major
This is a major for a student who wishes to work in the men's fashion field at a famous apparel company. Students can select this major in the second semester of their second year.
Kids’ Wear Major
This is a major for a student who wishes to work in the baby and children's clothing field at an apparel company. Students can select this major in the second semester of their second year.

Haute Couture
Course

This is a second year elective course for a student who wants to pursue advanced techniques in Paris Haute couture. Students will acquire full-fledged Haute couture techniques and expertise; they will learn how to create Haute couture and to express their artistry.

Haute Couture Major
This is a major for a student who wishes to pursue Paris' finest techniques and deepen their artistic ability. Students can select this major in the second semester of their second year.
Stage Costume Major
This is a major for a student who wishes to learn production and representation that is distinctive in stage costumes. Students can select this major in the second semester of their second year.

Fashion Creator Advanced Department (2-year course)

This is a daytime course for graduates of universities, colleges or vocational schools (who have already finished a 2-year specialized course). This course aims for students to acquire the same level of skills that are offered in the Fashion Creators Course Department, which is a three year course. They will learn mostly the same content, including expertise and techniques for production, but general education courses are omitted. This is a special course for a student who wants to get ready for working in the fashion industry as soon as possible.

Fashion Creator Night Course (3-year course)

This course is great for a student who wants to become a professional in the fashion field while working or studying other subjects during the daytime. Students will learn comprehensive techniques and knowledge about fashion, focusing on the skills needed for making clothes that can be gained from our efficient curriculum. We provide same level of education that is offered in day time courses, in terms of teachers, lesson content and the frequency of participation in campus events.

Fashion Business Department (2-year course)

This course aims to develop human resources skills in the fashion field, including planning, distribution, and advertising in the fashion business. Students will learn practical know-how, including planning, sales, management, and coordination, and develop the skills which are required by the industry so that they can work effectively soon after graduation.

Top Management
Course

This is a special course for a small group of people. This course aims for students to acquire comprehensive management capabilities, from marketing and planning to sales. They aim to learn the skills necessary to become leaders in the fashion business field, or experts in the field they choose.

Merchandising Major
This is an upper management course that students select in the second year.

Fashion Business
Course

This course aims to develop human resources skills that are required by companies. In this course, students learn theories and advanced techniques, and acquire a wide range of knowledge in the fashion field. In their second year, students select either the "shop master" major or the "buyer" major, and strive to become specialists in their chosen field.

Buyer Major
This is the major in the second year for a student who wants to be a buyer or a retail merchandiser.。
Shop Master Major
This is the major in the second year for a student who wants to be a shop manager or a fashion adviser.

Stylist
Course
※ International students cannot take this course

This is a course for a student who wants to be a stylist. Students need to learn professional techniques for coordination, and they need to gain extensive knowledge on beauty, including hair, makeup and nails, so that they can be active in all segments of the beauty industry.

Stylist Major
This is the major in the second year for a student who wants to be a stylist in the fashion or advertising industry.
Bridal Stylist Major
This is the major in the second year for a student who wants to be a stylist in the bridal fashion industry.

Fashion Business Store Management Department (3-year course)

This department was established in partnership with the World Co., Ltd, which was recognized with the highest accomplishment in the industry. In order to develop specialists who can work as managers of apparel shops, we set up around 945 hours worth of store training sessions at World Co., Ltd. Through these sessions, students will gain knowledge and learn advanced skills. Learning incentives (scholarships) will be provided to competent students, which will help to reduce the burden of tuition.

Fashion Craft Design Department (3-year course)

In this course, students take specialized classes with a focus on shoes and bags. We have prepared a curriculum that allows students to learn it all, including expertise, design and production techniques, as well as gaining overseas training. We have fostered many professionals who are active in the industry.

Shoes
Course

In this course, students take specialized classes with a focus on shoes. The number of school providing such courses in Japan is very limited. We have prepared a curriculum that allows students to learn it all, from designing, fabrication technology, to brand planning, along with specialized facilities, professional lecturers and a perfect back-up system. We have fostered a variety of professionals who are active in the shoe industry.

Bag
Course

This course is for a student who wants to be a bag designer, planner, or technician. In addition to the basics, students will learn a wide range of skills, from planning to design and production techniques. We aim to foster specialists that become active in the bag industry.

Fashion Accessory Design Department (2-year course)

For those who want to be plan designers or creators in the fashion accessories industry!
In this course, students learn the knowledge and techniques necessary for all fashion accessories fields, through practice. This course is for a student who wants to be a fashion accessory designer, a fashion accessory planner or a production technician. We help students to become professionals in the fashion accessory industry through guidance given by first class professionals.

Entrance prerequisites for
international students
Students must meet both of the following conditions:
  1. Students must have completed an education curriculum of more than 12 years, or expect to complete such education, and must be over 18 years of age at the time of enrollment.
  2. Documentation which proves Japanese language ability. A person who falls under one of the following conditions ① - ④:
    ① Completed a Japanese language school program (at least 6 months long) which is certified by the Association for the Promotion of Japanese Language Education, or expect to complete such a program.
    ② Obtained N2 or higher level on the Japanese Language Proficiency Test conducted by Japan Educational Exchanges and Services or the Japan Foundation.
    ③ Obtained a minimum score of 200 (added together from the reading, listening, and reading-listening phases in Japanese) in the subject of Japanese language in the EJU conducted by the Japan Student Services Organization
    ④ Has been enrolled for at least one year in a university or junior college in Japan.
